Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies generally to purchases made through Make-A-Fort’s official online storefronts. Depending on your region, shipping destination, billing location, or the storefront you are using, additional shipping disclosures, delivery expectations, import fee information, tax information, or carrier-related terms may apply.

If there is a conflict between this Shipping Policy and a regional supplement that applies to your order, the regional supplement will apply to the extent required by applicable law.

Delivery Estimates

Estimated delivery dates may be viewed in the cart, during checkout, and in order confirmation emails after entering your shipping destination and any required postal or ZIP code information.

Delivery estimates are provided based on available carrier, warehouse, fulfillment, and destination information. These estimates are intended to help set expectations, but they are not guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.

Shipping timelines may be affected by order volume, carrier delays, weather events, customs processing, holidays, labor disruptions, incorrect addresses, remote delivery locations, or other circumstances outside of our control.

Order Processing and Fulfillment

Orders are generally processed and prepared for shipment after payment has been accepted and the order has passed any required review.

Processing times may vary during high-volume periods, holidays, sales events, or other operational surges.

Once your order has shipped, you may receive tracking information by email or through your order status page, when tracking is available.

Shipping Locations and Warehouses

Make-A-Fort may fulfill orders from different warehouses depending on the customer’s region, product availability, inventory location, and fulfillment partner routing.

Warehouse location and carrier selection are determined by Make-A-Fort and its fulfillment partners. Customers are not guaranteed a specific warehouse, carrier, or shipping service unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Expedited Shipping

We do not offer expedited shipping at this time unless an expedited option is specifically made available during checkout or approved by us in writing.

Shipping and Handling Fees

Shipping and handling fees can be viewed in the cart and during checkout after entering the required shipping destination information.

Our kits are large and may be heavy, so shipping and handling costs may be significant depending on the destination, quantity ordered, and applicable shipping method.

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law, stated in a regional supplement, or approved by us in writing.

Taxes, Duties, Import Fees, and Regional Charges

Taxes, duties, VAT, import fees, customs charges, carrier collection fees, or other regional charges may vary depending on the shipping destination and applicable laws.

Some orders may include applicable taxes or VAT at checkout, while other orders may be subject to additional fees collected by the carrier, customs authority, or other third party after shipment.

Shipping Address Requirements

The shipping address must be a valid physical address. We do not ship to PO boxes unless we expressly approve the shipment in writing or the checkout process allows the address.

Please ensure that your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order. We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs caused by incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses.

If you need to request an address change after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Address changes are not guaranteed once an order has been submitted, processed, or shipped.

Carrier Delays and Delivery Issues

Once an order is handed to the carrier, delivery timing is controlled by the carrier and may be affected by circumstances outside of Make-A-Fort’s control.

If your shipment is delayed, lost in transit, damaged in transit, or marked as delivered but not received, please contact the carrier and our customer support team so the issue can be reviewed.

Carrier investigations, replacement eligibility, refunds, and other remedies may depend on the shipment status, tracking history, carrier findings, applicable law, and the facts of the order.

Damaged or Stolen Shipments

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide your order number, photos of the damaged item, photos of the packaging, and any other supporting information reasonably needed to review the issue.

If a package is marked as delivered but is missing or suspected to have been stolen after delivery, please contact the carrier to file the appropriate claim and notify our customer support team.

We are not responsible for theft or loss that occurs after the carrier has confirmed delivery, unless otherwise required by applicable law or approved by us in writing.

Gifts

No Make-A-Fort logo appears on the outer shipping box. Orders are shipped in a plain brown shipping box to help avoid giving away the surprise.

A packing slip may be included inside the shipping box. When included, the packing slip generally lists the items in the shipment and does not display product prices.

Shipping to Multiple Locations

To ship items to multiple locations, please place a separate order for each shipping address.

If you place multiple orders for different locations and would like us to review whether a partial refund or adjustment is available to match the total price of a combined order, please contact us with each order number.

Requests may be considered when all of the following apply:

  • Each order was placed within three days of the first order;
  • Each order has the same billing name and billing address; and
  • The orders are otherwise eligible for adjustment based on the applicable promotion, shipping setup, or customer support approval.

Partial refund or adjustment requests are subject to review and are not guaranteed.

Seasonal, Holiday, and Regional Shipping Notices

During high-volume periods, holidays, sales events, carrier disruptions, or regional service delays, Make-A-Fort may publish additional shipping notices or temporary delivery expectations.

Refund Policy

Shipping delays do not change the start date of our 14-day risk-free money-back guarantee. The 14-day period begins on the date your order is delivered, as explained in our Refund Policy.
